In the event of an emergency, subscribers are able to directly contact Lifeline by simply pressing a button and a Personal Response Associate quickly assesses the situation and sends the appropriate help.

Position Description:
Position Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Position Summary: This position will be responsible for daily shipping and receiving duties, support of refurbishment process, and inventory management. This individual will also provide departmental support as required.
Key responsibilities:
- Receive all incoming packages and distribute parcels to other departments
- Ship out all outbound packages daily
- Use inventory system to document all inbound equipment and outbound shipments. Put away equipment in assigned bins or locations
- Maintain the upkeep and tidiness of the shipping and receiving area
- Utilize PROM line (an internal application software) to reprogram Lifeline hardware
- Assist with the cleaning and preparation of Lifeline hardware for shipment
- Provide general office help and other office maintenance duties
- Assist with other daily departmental functions such as cleaning, refurbishing and upgrading firmware
Working hours: must be available to work onsite any 8 hours shift between 9:00 am-6:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
Workplace location: 105 – 95 Barber Greene Rd, Toronto, ON, M3C 3E9
Duration: Temporary assignment till July 2025
Compensation: $39,500.00 - $42,000.00 annually

Requirements
Education: High School Diploma
Experience required:
- 2 years of relevant work experience with shipping & receiving and/or inventory management preferred
Skills:
- Fluent English is required (verbal and written)
- Experience with Windows, Excel, and Word
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal to communicate effectively with customers and staff
- Good organizational skills and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Hands-on, action oriented approach with a demonstrated ability to execute independently
- Solid listening and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and address equipment problems
Physical Demands
- Need to be able to lift up to 40lbs
- Need to be able to stand five to six hours/day
- Need to be able to walk about 20 feet between our storage room and work area several times per day
- Rare exposure to cold and draft when door needs to be kept open for deliveries
