Overview
Young Sprouts Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and working collaboratively with children, adolescents, and families. This role involves providing high-quality psychological care, tailoring assessments to individual needs, and delivering clear, actionable recommendations to support the mental health and developmental growth of our clients.
Duties
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for children and adolescents, including psychoeducational, ADHD, ASD, emotional/behavioural, and giftedness assessments.
- Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological tests, tailoring the process to meet client needs.
- Provide feedback sessions to families, explaining results and offering actionable recommendations for home, school, and therapy settings.
- Prepare detailed, professional reports summarizing findings, diagnoses, and interventions.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
- Adapt assessment techniques to account for cultural, developmental, and individual differences.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, reports, and client interactions.
- Stay informed on current research, tools, and best practices in psychological assessment and child development.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Registration in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario or an equivalent regulatory body.
- Proven experience conducting psychological assessments for children and adolescents.
- Expertise with standardized tools such as WISC-V, WIAT-III, BASC-3, ADOS-2, and other relevant instruments.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with families and explaining complex findings in an accessible way.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, client-focused approach with sensitivity to diverse family dynamics.

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $156.92-$253.38 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
