Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Pharmacy Technician at Restore Pharmaceuticals in Toronto, ON. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for supporting pharmacy operations, including assisting customers and pharmacists in dispensing medications and preparing non-sterile topical compounds in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory standards. The position requires strong organizational skills, exceptional customer service to patients, meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding pharmaceutical compounding standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispensing Medications:
- Collaborate with pharmacists to accurately dispense medications to patients.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company protocols.
- Manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies effectively.
Non-Sterile Topical Compounding:
- Execute the preparation of non-sterile topical compounds under pharmacist supervision.
- Follow prescribed formulas and compounding procedures meticulously.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the compounding area.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols during compounding tasks.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain precise records of all compounded medications and dispensation activities.
- Document any deviations or incidents as per company procedures.
- Stay updated on compounding guidelines and regulations.
Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Address inquiries and concerns regarding medications and compounded products promptly.
- Foster a positive and welcoming environment in the dispensary area.
Quality Assurance:
- Participate in quality control measures to uphold the safety and efficacy of compounded products.
- Conduct routine inspections and checks to ensure ingredient and equipment integrity.
- Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Kroll Experience (+1 year)
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or coursework in pharmacy technology or pharmaceutical sciences preferred.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with pharmacy laws, regulations, and compounding standards.
- Proficient mathematical skills and acute attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Competent in basic computer applications.
- Willingness to adhere to rigorous safety and cleanliness protocols.
