Areas of Accountability
- Follow instructions to ensure the project is completed on time, to a high standard, and in an efficient manner.
- Assist in tool-setup, take-down and maintenance of work area.
- Secure tools at the end of each day.
- Maintain an organized jobsite.
- Keep work area clear and free of obstructions, hazards and garbage.
- Report all low materials to the Foreman.
- Inspect power cords, tools & ladders to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Understand how sprinkler fittings and couplings work.
- Develop a working knowledge of the application for various sizes of fittings and couplings.
- Understand fabrication sheets, as prepared by Escape Fire Protection.
- Submit applicable forms and reports as per EFP policy.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures set by Escape Fire Protection.
- Other duties as assigned.
*Performance Expectations*
After one month:
- Gain competency and understanding of the trade.
- Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
- Displays a good-natured, cooperative and collaborative attitude.
- Demonstrates the ability to work within safety guidelines.
- Shows a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
- Completed the BlazeMaster Certification.
- Cognizant of performance relative to the position and expectations.
- Competent in basics of fabricating, threading, grooving.
- Basic understanding of pipe sizes and fittings (take-outs)
Within three months:
- Register for Apprenticeship program
- Basic understanding of various blueprints
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
