Job Description
The Quality Project Ethics Review (QPER) Coordinator is a staff member with research, quality improvement, and education experience who can apply this knowledge to the review of QPER submissions, the efficient triage of applications and to liaise with QPER leadership. We are seeking a part-time, temporary QPER Coordinator (up to March 31, 2025), who will engage in the development of educational materials and training for CAMH staff and physicians on ethics in quality improvement and program evaluation, the QPER submission process, and readying projects for submission. The QPER Coordinator will work closely with the Bioethics team staff in the enhancement of QPER processes at CAMH.
The QPER Coordinator provides support and coordination to all QPER-related processes – triage of application, review of submissions, distributing submissions to reviewers, coordinating follow-up to recommendations, providing QPER coaching to staff and physicians wishing to submit projects for review. The role combines some administrative aspects, education development, and expert review of project submissions.
The QPER Coordinator will coordinate the review process, confirm receipt of necessary materials, liaise with staff and physicians applying to QPER, maintain QPER records and identify QPER files for administrative staff to issue QPER letters.
The QPER Coordinator will join with members of the Bioethics team in liaising with Research office staff at CAMH to discuss requests that come through each portfolio, provide consultation and work to keep both processes aligned with CAMH’s strategic direction and organizational priorities.
The QPER Coordinator will be the main point of contact for CAMH staff who have received QPER approvals – to following up on any additional requests for updates, respond to requests for variances in original submissions, and field and general inquiries.
Job Requirements
