About the Role
We are looking for a full-time Risk Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reaching out across the organization to identify internal and external risks to CanadaHelps, tracking those risks in our ERM tool, and working with the Operations leadership to prioritize, develop and execute action plans to mitigate high priority / high impact risks.
They are also responsible for providing support for CanadaHelps business operations, policies and procedures in order to ensure that the organization is in compliance with all applicable regulatory and legal requirements, including those related to privacy, payments, charitable receipts and the Income Tax Act.
The annual salary range is $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience. This position is remote but may require to be in office in Central Toronto from time to time.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Participate in and contribute to CanadaHelps' risk management process, including identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting risks;
- Support and develop initiatives to mitigate CanadaHelps risk exposure;
- Prepare risk-related metrics, reports and dashboards for the COO, Executive Team, and CanadaHelps Board of Directors
- Populate, maintain and update our Enterprise Risk Management software
- Promote a proactive risk management culture through training and communication;
- Support and develop corporate compliance initiatives related to privacy, data governance, procurement, and corporate contracts, including insurance;
- Prepare departmental-level (privacy, compliance, risk, and legal) related metrics, reports, and dashboards);
- Support the roll-out of compliance-related initiatives across CanadaHelps
- Respond, and/or assist the organization in responding to compliance-related queries from our charities or donors
Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 3 -5 years’ experience supporting risk management programs and initiatives;
- Proven ability to initiate and support departmental level projects;
- Experience with ERM (enterprise risk management) software
- Demonstrated ability to review, understand, communicate and implement compliance related requirements;
- Ability to prepare dashboards, presentations and supporting material for executive-level visibility;
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet timelines
