Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate bartender to join our team at a vibrant Coastal Mediterranean restaurant in Toronto. As a bartender at Abrielle, you are an essential part of the front of house service team, and are responsible for producing all of the beverages served to guests. You are also responsible for helming the bar with a highlevel of service and attention to detail.
Areas of Responsibility
- Exceed guest expectations by creating a positive dining experience.
- Execution of cocktails in a timeline & efficient manner.
- Anticipate guests' service needs by responding positively to guests' questions and requests, including any concerns or issues
- Ensure bar area and assigned section remains clean and organized
- Complete opening, closing and side-duties efficiently and fully
- Accurately relay orders to kitchen using the POS system
- Be diligent of guest special requests, including allergies and aversions
- Ensure ongoing communication with whole team to ensure overall guest dining experience
- Attend food and wine trainings and show desire for continuous learning
- Produce all beverage orders in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare, stock, and maintain all mise en place for bar production
- All other duties as assigned, by the Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
- At least 4 years bartending experience in a similar environment
- Strong knowledge base of cocktails, spirits, and coffee an asset
- High attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational skills and strong sales ability
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with guests and colleagues
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Smart Serve Certification a requirement
- A Degree/ Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent considered an asset
