Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant will support the HRBP Manager in delivering comprehensive HR services to the assigned client group. This role involves engaging in a variety of operational HR tasks, including performance management, organizational effectiveness, recruitment, onboarding, reporting, talent management, DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging), and other related areas.
Additionally, the HR Assistant will contribute to the broader objectives of the Human Resources function by participating in key functional initiatives and priority projects. The role encompasses four key facets: client group focus, HR subject matter expertise, administrative proficiency, and strategic contribution
Responsibilities
- Assist the HR Manager with providing support to the assigned client group, demonstrating a deep understanding of their operations to deliver customized services. Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager on executing Energizer’s annual performance management cycle, including objective setting, development planning, and fiscal year-end processes.
- Maintain and update accurate position and employee records in HR databases. Prepare HR-related reports and documents.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding tasks, including updating position profiles, overseeing the recruitment process, preparing orientation materials, and coordinating training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws by understanding relevant employment laws and established processes. Monitor and update policies and processes as needed to respond to evolving legislation.
- Participate in the local Joint Health and Safety Committee.
- Provide insights to other HR team members and the Center of Excellence team to align overall strategies with location-specific requirements.
- Contribute to employee engagement activities, culture events, and DEIB initiatives. Actively participate in the roll-out and maintenance of these programs.
- Work collaboratively with the broader HR team to share best practices and processes and execute corporate-wide initiatives.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is required, or a college diploma with a combination of relevant work experience in HR
- 1-2 years of work experience in a related role, preferably in consumer package good environment
- CHRP designation is an asset
- Motivated, self-starter, and resourceful attitude.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Knowledge of HR software and databases is a plus.
