In this role, the candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships with clients, and achieving sales targets.
Job Purpose:
To provide critical support to the sales team by managing administrative tasks, assisting with customer inquiries, tracking shipments, and ensuring effective communication between the sales, operations, and logistics departments. This role ensures that the logistics sales process runs smoothly, customers are satisfied, and sales goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Support:
- Assist the sales team with preparing and processing quotes, proposals, and sales orders.
- Follow up on leads, inquiries, and quotations to help convert prospects into clients.
- Maintain CRM systems with accurate client details, sales activities, and communication records.
- Customer Interaction:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, shipment tracking, and delivery updates.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues related to shipping, and provide accurate information on logistics services
- Logistics Coordination:
- Liaise with the operations and transportation departments to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
- Monitor shipments and update customers on delivery statuses or potential delays.
- Assist in organizing and optimizing delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries.
- Coordinate shipments, ensuring that customers' delivery requirements are met.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare reports on sales activities, customer accounts, and logistics performance for internal review.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth logistics processes.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to provide insights into customer needs and logistics trends.
- Provide feedback to improve sales processes, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related field is preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, customer service.
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of logistics operations, shipping methods, and transportation services
- Foreign language besides of English will be a plus
