About
I have experience in sales, which comes from working as a sales associate at Kids’ Haven’s charity shop. The organization has a charity shop in which we sell donated goods to raise funds. The job required me to engage with customers and be as friendly as possible to them because going the extra mile and building a great relationship is what builds customer loyalty. I also did a lot of thinking on my feet because of the various antique items we would get which took a lot of customers convincing to get sold, I also assisted customers who might want more information on how our volunteer and donating services operated. I mostly worked alone so I am quite experienced in independent work, nonetheless, I am also a good team player having learned great team skills through my virtual studies at Southern New Hampshire University, the Three2Six organization, and the book fairs at Kids Haven.
I volunteered as an administrator at the Congolese Association of South Africa for a short period, my duties involved filing documents manually and digitally, calling clients to remind them of appointments or meetings, also writing out emails to clients and/or committee members of any upcoming events or meetings, so I trust strongly in my computer skills. I am computer literate, having learned how to work with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. To add to this, I also helped out at the Three2Six organization during their Holiday programs and one of the main activities we were doing was training the students to be more computer literate. I also did a lot of assignments involving PowerPoint presentations, email writing and data sorting during my period of study at Southern New Hampshire University. I also did a number of works in excel. I did a lot of report writing assignments during the past year, I worked with reviewers who criticized each point of your writing, and I gathered a few tips from them. I know where to cite my work and acknowledge the writing of other authors.
I understand the commitment and honesty that I should put in, to see the best outcomes. Along with this I pride myself on how organised I am, so working remotely will not be a problem. Studying online at Southern New Hampshire University, I was still able to juggle work and school. I always met submission deadlines, and in the end, completed my degree in the right period. I pride myself on working honestly and in an organized manner despite the lack of managerial supervision, and I know how to reach out when having trouble or confusion and I am highly open-minded to any advice or constructive criticism, and I believe these qualities are what make me stand out.
