Responsibilities

Assists with intaking new daily immigration casework inquiries from members of the public by phone, Email and in person
Assists in documenting new daily immigration casework cases and updates to existing immigration cases using a Customer Resource Management tool
Schedules regular calls with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada to discuss status and potential resolutions to constituent cases
Performs detailed tracking of case file updates and progress through CRM
Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with constituents
Assists in drafting written content for social media, online newsletters, and flyers
Provides on-site support and captures film and photo content of the Member of Parliament at public events, meetings, and gatherings

Working conditions

Reports directly to the constituency office manager
Part-time, in-person. Flexibility regarding working days/time. However some evenings and weekends will be required.

Qualifications

No specific minimum educational or experiential requirements; We are looking for the best combination of related skills, education, and experience
Experience working in an administrative/exec assistant role in an office setting is an asset
Experience working in a customer service role is an asset
Experience working with Customer Resource Management software is an asset
Experience working with/for an elected official is an asset
Experience working on political campaigns is an asset
Experience writing is an asset

Compensation

$20/hour to start with the possibility for wage growth in line with performance.
