We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and proficiency in electronic medical records systems. Experience in a dental office setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar.
Answer phone calls promptly and handle inquiries regarding services, procedures, and insurance.
Collect patient information and verify insurance eligibility.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using systems such as Epic or Dentrix.
Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a medical or dental office is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
Proficient in using phone systems and electronic medical records software (experience with Epic or Dentrix is advantageous).
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
Accuro EMR knowledge is a must
Portuguese or Spanish language knowledge are preferred
2 years experience as a medical office Receptionist is preferred

Pay: $17.50-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
