Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve, particularly in settings such as home care, assisted living, Community care or nursing homes. The Personal Support Worker will engage with clients who may have dementia or other disabilities, providing personalized care and support.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
Engage clients in recreational activities to promote social interaction and physical activity.
Assist clients with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Document care provided and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.

Experience

Previous experience in caregiving or support roles is preferred, particularly in settings involving dementia care, home care, or working with persons with disabilities.
Familiarity with patient care practices and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
Experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
