Company description

New Moon Psychotherapy is a busy psychotherapy practice in Toronto specializing in trauma, relationship, and sex therapy.

We are looking to welcome an EMDR trained therapist to the team.

We are currently accepting applications for a therapist who can see a minimum of 10 clients a week, IN PERSON, at our Spadina and Richmond location.

There are also opportunities to offer couples therapy.

If you are a genuine and empathic trauma fighter who wholeheartedly believes that PTSD is a treatable condition and is committed to using evidence-based treatments in helping their clients overcome their difficulties, we want to hear from you!

Successful Candidate

Uses evidence-based treatments
EMDRIA approved training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Training in other evidence based treatment modalities. Those with training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Possesses a solid understanding of PTSD and complex trauma.
Understanding and comfort supporting neurodivergence (ADHD, autism)
Understanding or willingness to engage in psychoeducation specifically around the impact of sexual violence.
Interest or experience working with families and partners of survivors.
Anti-oppressive practice that embraces diversity and is sensitive to gender, sexuality, relational and cultural identities.

Requirements

Minimum Master’s level education in a related field - please only apply if you have COMPLETED your master's level training. If you are currently enrolled in practicum, you have not completed your training. We would love to see your application when you are finished with your schooling!
MUST be a registered member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) (Supervision is not available at this time).
Available for a minimum of two days in person. We currently have space available for daytime (8:30-2:30 pm) appointments on weekdays and weekend appointments, in our office at Spadina and Queen in Toronto.

2) Have you COMPLETED your internship/practicum and schooling (completed means that you have finished all of your classes and practicum)

4) What days and times are you available to work IN PERSON? Please note, we currently have space on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. We give clinicians access to the room for 6 hours during which we ask that they see 5 clients. Morning access is 8:30 am - 2:30 pm and evening access is 3 pm - 9 pm.

We are seeking therapists who can commit to a minimum of two (2) days in person during the week (daytime) or weekend for a minimum of 10 clients per week.

Pay: $108.00 per hour
