Who we are looking for
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth execution of construction projects by coordinating various aspects of the construction process, and by assisting the Project Manager and President. This position requires a strong understanding of construction procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Specific Responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Designers, Engineers, Clients, and Subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the construction process.
- Timelines: Assist in developing project schedules, milestones, and deadlines, and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Resource Monitoring: Monitor and track the availability and delivery of construction materials, ensuring that the project stays on schedule.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, potential issues, and resolutions.
- Budget Management: Assist in budget development and monitoring, tracking project expenses and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Tendering: Assist the Project Manager in the tendering, including providing information to relevant sub trades.
- Documentation: Help maintain accurate and current project documentation, including contracts, drawings, change orders, and other relevant records for future reference and audits.
- Administration: Assist the Project Manager and President with job specific administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in the construction industry is a must.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, OneDrive
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
