What you will do
Johnson Controls is seeking a Junior Software QA Analyst to join the Intrusion Security Product team based in Concord, ON. This role will be based onsite. As a Junior Software QA Analyst, you will plan, design, and execute formal test plans and procedures that verify and validate the software components used for the configuration and/or operation of security controls and peripherals. This is a great role for someone with their Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering!
How you will do it
Review product requirements and design specifications for preparing/conducting system level testing
Develop and execute manual test procedures and test cases for new and/or existing products
Design, develop and perform regression testing techniques and procedures to ensure product changes and features have been implemented successfully
Generate comprehensive defect reports using defect tracking tools and liaise with software development
Report project status, concerns and risks within the project to the project lead tester
Responsible for knowing all deliverables within project
Develop and run Automated test cases for new products
What you will need
Required
Bachelor's degree in BS or BEng Degree in related Electrical or Computing
0+ years of system level product testing/design experience in real-time environment
Fundamental understanding and hands-on experience with analog and digital electronics
Basic understanding of software analysis and design techniques
Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Familiarity with scopes, logic/protocol analyzers
Fundamental understanding of DSP, telephony, wired and wireless communications protocols, networking protocols

Python scripting
Linux experience
