Your role
As the Client Sales Support you will build proposals and negotiate sales opportunities with existing and potential clients. This involves managing client campaigns from inception to completion through the sales cycle and being accountable for all aspects of clients’ business in collaboration with the IAL.
You are also responsible for creating and managing sales plans and tactics while providing required weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and forecasting.
This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with the hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.
Key Tasks:

Support the day-to-day activities that are required to prepare, pitch, and close a sale.

Analyse the advertising activity of customers and their potential for bringing in revenue.

Develop strategic plans for accessing this additional revenue.

Develop and maintain client profiles, contact updates, historical buying in collaboration with the IAL.

Create tracking systems for reporting, trending analysis and identifying potential sales opportunities.

Prepare sales presentations that cover several markets to be directed at advertisers or advertising agencies.

Research potential customers, including their market, activities, and competition and compare the effectiveness of alternate advertising sources whether in broadcast, digital, OTT, audio or other forms.

Present revenue-building opportunities found through research to the Integrated Account Lead.

Oversee sales contracts through to the end, modifying or renegotiating, as required.

Initiate post-analysis to determine if contract commitments have been met and review results with the Integrated Account Lead (IAL).

Stay on top of all Canadian markets likely to be of interest to your clients.

Coordinate and assist the IALs in managing daily administration issues.

Maintain client account detail and advertising plans on all CBC/Radio-Canada platforms.

Proactively monitor and resolve potential performance issues with client marketing campaigns.

Assist in the coordination of external client events.

Build various tracking systems and reports.

Obtain required credit approvals, traffic schedules and delivery of creative, as needed.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
-
Post-secondary degree/diploma with emphasis on business and/or marketing and sales or the equivalent.

3 to 5 years of progressive and relevant experience in sales.

Demonstrated understanding of media-related advertising and strategic marketing.

Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with new and existing clients.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and Google Workspace (aka G Suite).

Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when interacting with clients and co-workers.
-
Sound judgment and the ability to think “outside of the box”.

Value diverse perspectives and ideas, and differing points of view.
-
Excellent communication skills.
-
Ability to juggle multiple priorities within a short period of time with frequent interruptions and multiple deadlines.

Experience in a multi-platform sales environment is preferred.

Strong attention to detail.

Knowledge of the following programs is an asset: Salesforce, OnAir, Google Ad Manager, Advendio, Prisma for Sellers, Triton.

English/French proficiency is an asset.
