Job Description
Fortinet is looking for a Python Developer to join the growing FortiSASE team.
FortiSASE is a SaaS-based service that combines network and security functions with WAN capabilities,
which allows users to securely access the Internet from anywhere. As a member of the web team, you
will be responsible for building the API which supports the web-based interface customers use to
configure their FortiSASE deployment. This API will be consumed by both our own frontend but also
customers looking to leverage our API for scripting and automation.
This position is great if you are a developer who wants to be involved in design discussions and have
your ideas contribute to the big picture.

Job Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain API endpoints to support functionality required in the web portal
- Design scalable and robust architectures for coordinating multiple backend services
- Build new API features to increase API value and usability
- Collaborate with web developers to support web application functionality
- Promote best practices within the team and organization
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise in various environments
Job Skills Required
- Strong experience with Python
- Experience building API endpoints
- Ability to identify gaps in existing functionality and advocate for solutions
- Ability to translate high level requirements into technical details
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with test driven development, ranging from unit testing to end to end testing
Additional Assets
- Web development experience (TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular)
- Understanding of networking and security concepts
- Experience with Swagger or other API documentation tools
- Experience with Flask
- Docker
Educational Requirements
A degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or related field.
The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $81,000 - $110,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
