In this role, you will:
- provide policy and project leadership, advice and expertise in the research, analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of policies and programs related to the to design and implementation of the payment models for hospitals, community-care access centres, and long-term care that are integral to the province's health-care transformation agenda;
- support high-profile ministry and government commitments related to assessment, evaluation and reporting;
- ensure that programs meet strategic objectives that promote quality, system access and accountability across the province;
- lead and coordinate projects involving multi-disciplinary cross-sectorial teams comprised of ministry and cross-ministry staff, and other partners;
- build and manage relationships with partners and team members, leading consultations to solicit input on proposed policies;
- review and provide advice on Cabinet items from other ministries that are linked to ministry policy and programs.
- You know policy and program development principles and techniques and government decision making processes to lead and/or participate in the development of provincial policies and programs
- You can interpret and apply policy, procedures and legislation
- You can create, lead and present briefings on complex issues analysis to senior management
- You demonstrate sound judgment, sensitivity and a high degree of political acuity
- You can assess the effectiveness of policies/programs against Ministry initiatives and goals
- You know program analysis and evaluation techniques to contribute to the development of benchmarks and performance criteria
- You have expertise in creating and managing complex partner relationships
- You can work collaboratively to resolve issues, negotiate changes and shifts in priorities
- You can lead consultations with partners, ensuring a shared understanding
- You can lead projects from initial concept through completion within specific timelines
