Job Overview
The Production and Installation Assistant is a versatile role that supports both production and on-site installation processes. This position includes assisting with production tasks, creating and applying custom vinyl decals, coordinating and executing deliveries, and assembling decor on-site. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, physical fitness, strong organizational skills, and the ability to represent the company professionally at client events.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Support:
- Assist with balloon preparation, decor assembly, and pre-installation setup.
- Prepare, cut, and apply custom vinyl decals for decor setups using tools like Cricut.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring production tools, materials, and equipment are in good condition.
- Execute production tasks as outlined by the Production Manager to meet project deadlines.
2. Delivery Coordination and Transportation:
- Review delivery schedules and prioritize tasks in coordination with the Production Manager.
- Load, transport, and unload decor items safely, following company protocols to prevent damage.
- Ensure all tools and supplies are secured for safe transport.
3. On-Site Installation Support:
- Assist with the setup of balloon decor at event locations, following design specifications and client expectations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless installations.
- Interact professionally with clients on-site, addressing any necessary adjustments.
4. Assembly and Dismantling:
- Assemble balloon decor and structures according to design plans, ensuring high-quality execution.
- Safely dismantle decor after events, packing and organizing materials for transport back to the warehouse.
5. Inventory and Material Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of production materials and report shortages to the Production Manager.
- Assist in ordering and restocking supplies to ensure the availability of necessary materials for upcoming projects.
6. Problem-Solving and Quality Control:
- Address on-site challenges such as layout changes or unexpected adjustments, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Inspect decor and setups for quality and alignment with design standards.
- Communicate any issues promptly to the Production Manager and propose solutions.
7. Compliance and Safety:
- Follow all health and safety guidelines during production, transport, setup, and breakdown.
- Ensure installations are secure and adhere to venue regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in production assistance, event setup, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Requirements:
- Valid G driver’s license in Ontario and comfortable driving for deliveries.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and assembling decor items.
- Availability: Must be available on weekends, with flexible scheduling on other days.
