Position Summary:
The Social Media & Marketing Coordinator will support CRAFT Beer Market’s marketing and social media efforts, engaging our community, maintaining a consistent brand presence, and assisting with campaign execution. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this role involves managing daily social media engagement, supporting content creation, and providing essential administrative support to keep all marketing initiatives on track. This role will also require content and social media management for the sister brands of CRAFT. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional to contribute to the growth of CRAFT Beer Market and subsequent brands through innovative content and community-focused strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
- Assist in creating high-quality, on-brand content for all social channels weekly (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, LinkedIn etc.), including images, videos, graphics, and written posts.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts and bring brand stories to life through visual storytelling.
- Support location-specific promotions, events, and campaigns with customized content as needed.
Social Media Management:
- Monitor, engage, and respond to comments, messages, and reviews across all social channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, LinkedIn) in a timely, authentic manner.
- Track and report on social media metrics, helping to identify trends and optimize engagement strategies to support the overall growth of all social platforms that drive conversions.
- Plan and schedule social media content in alignment with marketing campaigns, events, seasonal products and evergreen strategy.
Community Engagement:
- Identify and engage with influencers, community groups, and relevant partners to expand our brand reach.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging social media platforms, sharing insights with the team to keep our strategies fresh and relevant.
- Manage and respond to all reviews on Google, OpenTable, TripAdvisor, Yelp and other review platforms.
Campaigns & General Marketing:
- Provide administrative support for the marketing team, including coordinating project timelines, managing marketing assets, and organizing campaign deliverables.
- Help maintain the content calendar and support internal communication related to marketing activities.
- Assist with event coordination and execution of marketing campaigns as needed.
- Assist in preparing designs for print and coordinating with printers.
- Support Senior Marketing Manager with photo and video shoots as required.
- Contribute to creative brainstorms and overall marketing strategy.
- Support and execute national and local marketing activations, strategies and briefs.
- Manage all general marketing inquiries for the brand.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the marketing team and adapt to evolving campaign goals.
Requirements:
- BA in marketing, digital media, communications or equivalent education and experience is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing. Experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is a bonus.
- 1-2 year(s) of experience or combination of professional or personal experiences in creating digital content.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Demonstrated expertise in TikTok, backed by a professional or personal portfolio.
- In-depth understanding of influencer and content creator relations, with a keen sense of effective content on major social media platforms.
- Experience in working with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com, Microsoft Planner).
- Thorough understand of marketing tools and strategies that support sales (both traditional and digital).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with strong organizational skills.
- Enthusiasm for the restaurant industry, food & drink culture, and community engagement. Direct experience in the restaurant industry is considered a bonus.
- A start-up mentality with a resourceful, solution-oriented approach.
Working Environment:
- This role is based fully in-office, Monday to Friday, primarily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with some weekends or evenings required. Our office is in Yaletown, Vancouver, BC.
- In addition to working in office, travel to local restaurants in Vancouver is required.
