KITS is looking for a Front of Store Associate to create memorable, lasting impressions of our store and brand by delivering exceptional customer experiences in both the optical department and cafe.
The primary focus of this role is to foster a welcoming atmosphere while assisting with the efficient flow of customer traffic within the store. You’ll ensure that customers have a smooth, pleasant experience upon arrival, guide them to the appropriate areas, and support the retail team as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Greet all customers as they enter the store with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
- Create a warm and welcoming environment for all customers; continuously strive for excellence in customer service.
- Assist in managing store traffic flow, ensuring customers are directed to the correct lines (e.g., optical, cafe) and waiting areas.
- Direct clinic patients to the appropriate reception area to ensure they are greeted promptly and directed to their appointments.
- Monitor store occupancy and manage line control by enforcing capacity limits when necessary, ensuring a safe and efficient store environment.
- Assist customers in placing orders and facilitating returns and exchanges.
- Obtain patient prescriptions from optometrists to guide patients in post-appointment care.
- Recommend frames that suit the customer's style, face shape, and prescription specifications.
- Perform fittings and adjustments for glasses.
- Repair broken frames and ensure the proper tools and supplies are available.
- Assist with scheduling and managing customer appointments.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Obtain a deep understanding of KITS frames, products, and Designer brand selection.
- Support store sales goals through proactive customer engagement.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages and food items to our customers (training provided).
- Help team leads with various in-store tasks, including restocking, organizing, and maintaining the store's visual appearance.
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $22.00.
Who you are:
- You are an outgoing, engaging, and motivated individual with a strong passion for customer service.
- You have at least 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
- FoodSafe Level 1 certification is preferred.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, high energy environment.
- You have a flexible schedule and are available to work during peak hours, including early mornings (starting at 7am), weekends, and holidays.
