GESS Security is looking for an energetic, organized and proactive business development associate to help drive our sales and grow the business. Duties will include market research, developing business strategies and pitches, identifying new business opportunities and performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This is an full-time in-person position working from our North Vancouver office.
Other duties include finding ways to attract new clients and build solid relationships with them while maintaining existing relationships.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Preparing documents for meetings and business trips
- Providing assistance to social media marketing (ie: Blogs, Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters and forms
- Organize and maintain the office virtual filing system
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Maintain contact lists
- General bookkeeping
- Update Inventory
- Ordering parts
- Submit and reconcile expense reports
- Researching and booking travel arrangements for staff members
- Finding ways to improve administrative processes.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- A minimum of 1 years experience working as an Administrative Assistant, Virtual Assistant or Office Admin Assistant
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and perform duties with precision
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- You have a strong work ethic and you thrive on challenges
- Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation to work independently in a high-volume work environment
- Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
- You must be tech-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues as they come up
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated clerical experience and ability to maintain organized filing systems
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette
- Prior administrative experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk duties
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and ability to handle office tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of Google Suite and experience in proofreading and bookkeeping
- Effective time management and communication skills for office management tasks

Pay: $35,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
