Your key responsibilities
As an Intermediate Accountant, you will work on a diverse range of files, such as tax, Compilation, Review, and Audit engagements. You will be responsible for:
- Completing a variety of engagements assigned to you, such as T1 and T2 tax returns, Compilation, Review and Audit engagements
- Engrossing yourself in RHN’s values and leadership philosophy, and guiding your everyday interaction with staff and client with these guiding principles
- Participating in and occasionally leading professional development workshops to increase the professional knowledge base for yourself and your team members
- Occasionally participating in special task force teams with fellow team members to evaluate and revamp existing internal processes; evaluating and implementing new software, procedures or processes; and creating and carrying out marketing initiatives that contribute to the fulfilment of our business development objectives
What you bring to the role
- At least 2-3 years relevant experience at a public practice firm, including participation in Compilation and Assurance engagements, as well as with corporate and personal tax returns preparation.
- Experience with CaseWare/CaseView, Taxprep and Microsoft Suite
- The ability to identify and solve problems, both independently and in a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior client service
- The ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines

- Salary range: $60,000- $73,000 annual
