As part of our strategic growth plans, we are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our sales team and drive our business development efforts forward.
Job Summary:
The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives that enhance market presence and penetrate new markets. This role requires a leader who is adept at building and maintaining strong customer relationships, understands the nuances of selling eco-friendly products, and can motivate a team to achieve ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales team, ensuring that sales goals are met or exceeded.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Implement and oversee the use of HubSpot CRM across the sales team to streamline lead management and enhance customer interactions.
- Provide training to the sales team on how to effectively utilize HubSpot CRM, ensuring all team members are proficient and maximizing the tool’s capabilities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing materials and campaigns that align with sales strategies.
- Prepare and present sales reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
- Mentor and develop sales team members, including setting performance goals and providing professional development opportunities.
- Occasional travel required for attending conferences and international shows to represent ACEL Power and stay abreast of industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Sales Director or similar senior sales role.
- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
- Strong business sense with a proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to position products against competitors.
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience with large contracts.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking to ensure accurate sales forecasts and strategies.
- High proficiency with CRM software, particularly HubSpot, and experience in implementing and training teams in its use.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
