Company Overview:
ACEL Power Inc. is a pioneer in green technology, specializing in electric outboard engines designed to allow enthusiasts to enjoy nature on the water in an eco-friendly manner. We are seeking a skilled Web Designer to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation, as well as to maintain and enhance website functionality.

Job Summary:
The Web Designer will be responsible for the design, layout, and initial front-end coding of our new website while working with other graphics designers, UI/UX and developers. They will be involved with the technical and graphical aspects of the website - how the site works and how it looks. They will also be involved in the maintenance and update of an existing site.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain websites, landing pages, and microsites for various projects.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure website content aligns with business goals and brand guidelines.
Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate design ideas effectively.
Develop and maintain robust web-style guides for all our consumer- and business-facing products.
Create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.
Develop and enhance website functionality with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Ensure website compatibility across different browsers and devices.
Collaborate with all staff to oversee site builds and manage website enhancements.
Optimize loading speeds and capacity, test websites for functionality in different browsers and environments.
Address user feedback, fix bugs, and resolve issues to improve user experience.
Ensure all websites adhere to web accessibility standards and are SEO-friendly.
Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, techniques, and technologies to ensure the company's digital assets remain modern and engaging.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Multimedia Design, Web Development, or a related field.
At least 3 years work experience as a Web Designer
Strong portfolio showcasing creative web design work.
Strong visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
Familiarity with AI Graphics generating tools such as Midjourney and StableDiffusion
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP; knowledge of other programming languages is a plus
Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and web design tools like Figma, Sketch, or similar.
Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, or others.
Understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.
Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highly polished web-based prototypes under tight time constraints.
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and usability.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
