We are looking for a Shop Assistant to join our team and provide excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, stocking shelves, organizing the store, and helping to maintain a clean and inviting environment. Help with buying products from wholesale. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to go with the owner to buy products, and can handle carrying 25 - 30 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Operate cash register
- Provide advice about merchandise
- Provide friendly customer service
- Ensure safe sale of age-restricted products, i.e. Lotto & Tobacco
- Maintain sales records for inventory control
- Stocking inventory
- Assist in display of merchandise
- Maintaining cleanliness of store
- Greet customers and provide assistance with their queries.
- Ensure that the shop is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Assist customers with product selection and advice.
- Operate the cash register and process payments accurately.
- Maintain stock levels and replenish shelves as required.
- Able to carry 25 - 30 lb and move product boxes.
- Assist in merchandising activities to ensure the shop is presented in an attractive manner.
