What we are looking for:
The Fiera Canadian Large Cap Equity team manages approximately $14 billion of the firm’s assets. We are a small, diverse, hard-working group that has more than doubled in size as our asset base has grown significantly. We have a strong focus on quality investing and our perspective is for the long-term. The Large Cap Canadian Equity team is looking for an intern with a natural curiosity to learn a business inside and out and develop a career as an investor with a strong interest in sustainability.
The Large Cap Canadian Equity team is looking for an intern with an interest in learning about the institutional investment landscape and developing a career as a client-facing investment professional.
Your responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Product Specialist on the Canadian Equity team to actively participate in client service and business development initiatives.
- Assist in the updating and improvement of marketing presentations, whitepapers and other marketing collateral
- Work with members of the team to oversee sales and client service data tracking and management
- Support the development of new business development initiatives including targeted outreach campaigns, consultant meetings, and conferences.
- Optimize internal database of RFP and DDQ responses.
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing or any related field
- Detailed understanding of Accounting and Finance concepts
- Have a track record of academic achievement
- Extensive knowledge of factors affecting equity securities and financial markets
- Interest in ESG/Sustainable Investing
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong interest in business development, marketing, and client service
- Results oriented, capacity to adapt to changes in priorities and timelines
- Methodical, resourceful, and excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Outstanding presentation & communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Bilingual (English and French) not required but seen as an asset.
