The opportunity: We are looking for someone to work with a team that supports all associated quantitative analysis, investor reporting and communications for BGO’s Canadian investment vehicles. The Analyst will work extensively with and support members of these portfolio management teams. In addition, the Analyst will interact with members of BGO’s asset management, investments and capital raising teams.
What You Will Do
- Assist in various analysis required to support regular report generation (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual) and support processes to do so.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations, responses to investor Requests for Proposals, and periodic ad hoc reports and analysis requested by investors and their consultants.
- Assist in various analysis and reports required for the launch of new products; tracking of competitive fund universes; and development of comprehensive sales and marketing plans.
- Performance measurement, including detailed return, attribution, risk, valuation and income analysis for funds and investor portfolios.
- Portfolio-level analysis, including property type and geographic diversification, gross revenue by tenant and industry, lease maturity schedules and leverage analysis.
- Support ongoing data management initiatives in order to drive process improvements across the team.
Who You Are
- Minimum two years of relevant work experience in real estate investment or other aspects of institutional investment management or consulting. Real estate experience is an asset but not required.
- Proficient in advanced analytical functions in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe+. Proficiency in SalesForce is an asset but not required.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, i.e., allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, adapt to new ideas and change.
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills with an aspiration to be external facing and communicate with clients/consultants. Bilingual (English/French) both in oral and written is an asset.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in commerce, business administration or economics
- Participation in the CFA program
