The Technical Field Service Representative is responsible for monitoring the installation of the SITURA Expansion Joint systems to ensure correct application procedures are followed. This is both an indoor/outdoor position that requires traveling to job sites (in order of time commitment):
· Across Toronto & GTA (50%), This is a Toronto/GTA office based position.
· East Coast of the United States (10%) – predominantly New York City and Miami.
· Office work about 40% of the time.
The individual performs installation observations and conducts training sessions for contractor personnel. Field Reports and various administrative reports are required on a regular basis. Candidate must be able to work independently, have a customer service-oriented aptitude, and have the ability to teach installation techniques. The successful caniodita will also be required to take measurements of in-situ site conditions and ideally be able to draft them at the office using AutoCAD.
Relationships and Roles:
· Report directly to the Technical Director of SITURA INC.
· Coordinate necessary job site visits with the respective Sales Accounts Manager and local SITURA representatives.
· Provide the Technical Team (based in Toronto) with necessary information from customers in order to produce shop and working drawings, or work on them, themselves.
· Communicate travel plans to Office Administrator to ensure travel bookings are made in a timely fashion.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
· Review of plans and details for upcoming projects.
· Overseeing the application process by attending job starts and in-progress project visits to monitor for proper installation of the SITURA Expansion Joint systems.
· Help to resolve installation problems and issues as they arise.
· Act as the liaison between the applicator, General Contractor, Consultant, Architect, Building Owner, and SITURA during the installation process.
· Communicate and demonstrate product installation.
· Provide field measurement of expansion joints on-site.
· Provide training and assistance to customers on-site.
· Ensure job files are consistently updated with any new information and communicated to the team in Toronto.
· Attend/Represent the company and/or participate in annual tradeshows, conventions, conferences, industry seminars and related association events.
· Support sales efforts when and as directed by the Sales Accounts Manager by; visiting customers, distributing literature and introducing potential new customers to the company’s product portfolio.
· Support SITURA corporate sales staff when visiting customers.
Qualifications:
· A Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a construction related field.
· 2 to 5 years construction industry experience is a significant asset.

· Excellent written and oral communication.
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills required to interact with clients on a daily basis whether in person or through telephone, and email.
· Need to be self-motivated and well organized.

· Ability to develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office, i.e., Outlook, Word and Excel.
· Working knowledge of AutoCAD considered a valuable asset.
· Understanding of CRM software and Project reporting Software; i.e. Go Canvas, Smartsheet’s, Field Wire, etc.
· Diligent follow up and record keeping abilities.
· A clean driving record and valid driving license.
· Ability to travel for business purposes, i.re have a Canadian Passport.
· Working knowledge of a second language, Spanish and/or French, considered an asset.
