SMPC Technologies Ltd. is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer who has experience in designing, developing, and testing high frequency AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC power converters employing digital power control.
Responsibilities:
· Design, model and simulate power and control circuits, using PSIM, LTSpice and other EDA tools.
· Design, Develop and Test power converters (AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC) independently or as a part of a team to meet customer specifications.
· Select and test second sourced components including power semiconductors, transformers, inductors, and others required to sustain uninterrupted supply chain, while maintaining cost-effective final products.
· Troubleshoot EMI/EMC and participate in external lab testing process.
· Preparing technical documentations (including BOMs and test procedures) as part of introducing products to manufacturing.
· Schematic entry using Altium Designer and familiar with PCB design.
· Familiar with 3D modeling (Solid Works is an advantage).
· As part of the engineering team participate and contribute to continuous improvement and learning to stay on the top of the current and new topologies in the power electronics.
· Contribute to continuous improvements of existing designs and products.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
· Experience in designing switch mode power supplies.
· Design for safety (UL2202, 60950 and 62368-1).
· Must be familiar with all phases of design process (requirements, specification, design, implementation, verification, validation).
· Experienced and independently working with all hardware and interfaces in the power electronics lab.
· Excellent analysis, problem solving, design, debug and troubleshooting skills.
· Experienced with control loops and converter stability.
· Experienced with using MCUs and DSPs.
· Understanding of C is beneficial.
· Good communication skills and the ability to project manage.
· High-level writing and documentation skills.
