We are looking for an energetic, goal-oriented, self-starter to contribute as a Sales/Business Development Representative. The position is an outside sales role responsible for following up with customers or prospects by coordinating and leading account penetration and the customer experience while generating long term sales growth.
For the right candidate, we are prepared to coach and train. This position will be located in-house at our office in Richmond, BC.
What you will do:
- Research new target industries, organizations or individual prospects
- Communicate well within a high-performance team environment
- Report and maintain/track all account activities including relevant customer information and sales activity requirements
- Build & maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers; provide exemplary customer service
- Coordinate the involvement of company resources across multiple departments in order to meet account performance/delivery objectives
- Support the sales team with their day-to-day functions and respective duties as needed
- Assist in preparing and writing technical and commercial proposals (RFI, RFPs, etc.)
- Attend and actively participate in regular team meetings
- Learn and maintain relevant industry, Star Solutions and competitive knowledge
Who you are:
- Possess a diploma/degree in business or related discipline from a recognized post secondary institution
- Demonstrable success in enterprise sales or similar B2B selling experience
- Minimum of 2 years success in identify, building relationships and selling directly or with partners
- Excellent verbal, listening and written English communication skills
- Simple product demonstration and presentation skills; experience with presentation tools
- Passion for excellence - highly organized and extremely detail oriented
- Goal oriented and self-motivated; able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Collaborative and team focused
- Must be able to travel (local and international)
- Background in telecommunications industry is an asset
