Baker Tilly Canada Capital ("BTCC") creates value for clients that seek a merger, acquisition, divestiture, or capital raise. Our team at BTCC is looking for an
8-month Analyst-Intern from January-August 2025 to play roles in business development and deal execution. The first 4 months are probationary.
What can you expect?
- Business development: generate cold prospects (in generating new deals) from outside the Baker Tilly network
- Outreach: assist in organizing webinars + other public outreach opportunities
- Preliminary valuations: learn what drives value in private businesses
- Market research: used in creating industry reports and confidential information memorandums, which are utilized on live deals
- Presentation development: this will primarily include industry research and data visualization
- Buyer due diligence: when bringing a business to market, a tailored list of sophisticated strategic and private equity investors needs to be compiled based on research
- Financial Modelling: assist in creating forecasts of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in leveraged buyout transaction models
- Capital advisory: assist in creating pitches used in raising debt capital
- Quality of Earnings: assist in creating QoE reports used by acquirers in their financial due diligence
Qualifications:
You are an ambitious Accounting/Finance student and have:
- Can-do attitude
- Relevant 3rd and 4th year course work in accounting, corporate finance, marketing, and economics
- Attention to detail and strong computer skills (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work effectively with teammates
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to create presentations
- Demonstrated analytical ability, such as in case competitions

Salary Range: $23/hour
