About The Work Environment
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will be
in office 5 days a week, typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm.
We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto and Calgary offices. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance. This job is for an existing vacancy.

You have a passion for front of house service. You are energetic, self-motivated and have built a reputation of being known as the go to person for information. You are responsible, have good judgement and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to take ownership, find a creative solution and get the job done. You also enjoy routine tasks and take pride in how reliable you are in the workplace. Keeping things organized, neat and clean in your world is second nature to you. You can reprioritize and adapt your work if something new and unexpected comes up.
About The Qualifications
- At least two years in a professional or corporate environment.
- At least 1 year of previous experience as an Office Manager or Office Administrator.
- Relevant post-secondary education.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Word/Excel.
- Flexible and adaptable / able to multi-task under pressure.
- Detail oriented with an eye for the big picture.
- Proficient in task completion on a day-to-day basis.
- Interest in corporate event execution a bonus.
About The Day-to-day
- Responsible for stewardship of the Toronto office.
- Oversee Facilities and Premises items such as ordering employee access cards, posting building management notices, organizing periodic repairs and maintenance, creating service tickets, assisting employees with workspace allocation software.
- Act in a professional manner as the first point of contact for in-person and on the phone employee, vendor, and some customer requests (average 15 calls per day).
- Manage the ordering and distribution of stationery supplies, snacks, and beverages.
- Deal with mail and courier delivery, distribution and scanning as required, in a timely manner.
- Maintain the professional and tidy appearance of the work areas, meeting rooms, corporate kitchen.
- Willing to become a Microsoft Teams expert and become very familiar with meeting room equipment: able to set up meetings; train others on best uses of the tools and technology.
- Assist with catering corporate events.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
- Office Presence 5 days a week in the office, 8:30am to 5pm
Compensation
Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. In addition, we are pleased to offer employees both group benefits and the option to participate in our RRSP matching program, beginning the first day of employment. Salary for this position will vary between $60,000 and $70,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possesses. As part of our recruiting process, shortlisted candidates will be asked their salary expectations for this position.
