Mid/High-Rise Site Coordinator
Position Overview
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Site Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the construction site. This role involves coordinating the work between foremen, trades, and site supervisors, as well as managing logistical, safety, and administrative tasks. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities - Onsite Coordination:
- Serve as the main point of contact between foremen, trades, and the Site Superintendent, addressing any issues, concerns, or requests.
- Coordinate with the labor foreman to assign daily tasks to workers and ensure they have the necessary equipment and materials to perform their duties.
- Assist in coordinating the scheduling of onsite work with trade supervisors and the Site Superintendent to ensure project milestones and timelines are met.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Work closely with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure that all relevant safety information for trades and workers is posted and updated on-site.
- Monitor site activities to ensure workers adhere to safety protocols. Report any safety concerns or incidents to the Site Superintendent.
- Administrative Support:
- Submit weekly timesheets to HR for payroll processing.
- Order and track delivery of concrete, aggregate, rebar, rental equipment, site trailers, and other general construction supplies. Maintain accurate logs for all materials and equipment.
- Complete and submit purchase orders (POs) for site-related expenses for review.
- Maintain detailed logs for site workers, tracking lost working days and production delays.
- Communication & Coordination:
- Organize and invite relevant trades to bi-weekly site coordination meetings. Take meeting minutes and distribute them to all stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the office team on all matters related to site production and progress.
- Document and photograph significant site activities, dates, and occurrences for record-keeping and future reference.
- Maintain organized files for all trades, suppliers, consultants, and other personnel involved in the project.
- General Support:
- Follow the direction of the Site Assistant and Site Supervisor for additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Prioritize tasks effectively, maintain a positive attitude, and work collaboratively as part of the team.
