Kinetic Solar is a leading Canadian manufacturer of solar racking. We are looking for a recent engineering graduate to join our team and help to develop structural products and interface with our clients.
Position: Structural Product Designer
Responsibilities:
- Preliminary design and evaluation of structural products/projects
- Writing and review of technical literature and documentation
- Build and validate prototypes
- Juggling multiple ongoing projects in addition to daily tasks
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Handle client support regarding products and projects
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- AutoCAD
- RISA 3D, Solidworks or other structural modeling software an asset
- Fluent English - verbal and written communication skills
- Strong aptitude and intuition for structural design
- Machine shop/construction experience an asset
- Passionate about renewable energy
- Keen attention to detail and ability to problem solve
- Self Motivated
- Other duties as assigned
Wages will be commensurate with experience.
Our hours are 8-5 Monday to Thursday and 8-3 on Friday.
