Opportunity
Our Client Services Learning and Development team is looking for an Instructional Designer, you will play a key role in developing high-quality educational programs and materials for Flywheel. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and various stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate instructional content tailored to the needs of our diverse audience. Your work will help ensure that our learning experiences are effective, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals.
What You Will Do
- Create innovative and impactful instructional materials such as eLearning modules, training manuals, job aids, and assessments. Use a variety of instructional strategies to cater to different learning styles.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify specific learning objectives and audience requirements. Align content development with these goals to ensure relevancy and effectiveness.
- Partner closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), graphic designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and meets organizational requirements.
- Develop tools and methods for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional materials, such as surveys, tests, or performance-based assessments. Use evaluation results to recommend improvements and ensure continuous learning impact.
- Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring all timelines and budgets are met. Coordinate across teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles. Apply this knowledge to continuously improve educational programs.
Who You Are
- Proven experience designing instructional content using eLearning authoring tools, like Articulate 360 and/or Intellum Evolve.
- Experience working in Retail Media, CPG or an agency environment is a plus
- Experience working with Cornerstone or other Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including SMEs and designers, you are a team player with a genuine desire to contribute to the overall success of the entire team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to translate complex information into clear, concise instructional content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with multimedia tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and other eLearning standards.

The Interview Process
Every role starts the same, an introductory call with someone from our Talent Acquisition team. We will be looking for company and values-fit as well as your professional experience; there may be some technical role-specific questions during this call.
Every role is different after the initial call, but you can expect to meet several people from the team 1:1 and there might be further skill assessments in the form of a Take Home Assignment/Case Study Presentation or Pair Programming/Live Coding exercise depending on the role. In your initial call, we will walk you through exactly what to expect the process to be.
