Position Summary
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be responsible for generating qualified leads and booking meetings for our sales team. Your primary focus will be to identify potential clients within target industries, engage them through various channels, and qualify their needs for our GPS tracking software. You will be the first point of contact for many potential customers, so your ability to communicate effectively and persuasively is key to our success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Research and identify potential leads within target industries, focusing on companies that could benefit from GPS tracking solutions for vehicles and assets.
- Qualifying Leads: Engage with potential clients to understand their needs, pain points, and decision-making processes. Qualify leads based on established criteria to ensure they are a good fit for our solutions.
- Cold Calling & Outreach: Proactively reach out to prospects via cold calls, emails, and social media to introduce our GPS tracking solutions and schedule meetings with the sales team.
- Booking Meetings: Effectively manage and book qualified meetings for the sales team, ensuring a smooth handover of information and context to close deals.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and progress with leads in the CRM system, providing regular updates to the sales team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align outreach strategies, share feedback on lead quality, and contribute to overall sales goals.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, our product offerings, and competitor activities to effectively communicate our value proposition to potential customers.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a Sales Development Representative (SDR) or similar role within a SaaS environment, preferably with experience in GPS tracking or related software solutions.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record in lead generation, qualifying leads, cold calling, and booking meetings in a software sales environment.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and familiarity with sales automation tools.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of GPS tracking technology and its applications in vehicle and asset management is a strong plus.
