Job Title: Scratch 3 Coding Tutor for Children (Ages 7-12)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Scratch 3 Coding Tutor to teach coding basics to children ages 7-12. The tutor will introduce students to foundational programming concepts using Scratch 3, a block-based visual programming language designed for young learners. The ideal candidate is not only experienced with Scratch 3 but is also able to engage and inspire young minds, helping them develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and confidence in coding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Scratch 3 coding lessons tailored to students aged 7-12.
- Teach coding concepts, including loops, variables, conditionals, and sequencing, in a fun and interactive way.
- Design small coding projects that allow children to create animations, games, and interactive stories.
- Provide guidance, support, and encouragement to help students understand and troubleshoot their code.
- Adjust teaching methods to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.
- Track student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians on achievements and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field
- Proficiency in Scratch 3 and familiarity with other block-based programming tools.
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring children in coding or STEM-related subjects (experience with ages 7-12 is preferred).
- Strong communication skills and an ability to explain coding concepts in simple, relatable terms.
- Patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about fostering a love for coding in young learners.
