Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Production Trainee, First shift at our Woodbridge manufacturing plant. This opportunity will allow you to learn our business, manufacturing processes, and gain skills necessary to develop into a Manager. This role reports to the Assistant Division Manager.
Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the successful candidate, you will be expected to assist in the operation, management, and supervision of manufacturing departments.
Your additional responsibilities as Production Trainee will include:
- Quality, reporting, and scheduling
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Business or Manufacturing/Industrial related discipline is preferred
- 3 - 5 years of Canadian manufacturing /production experience is required
- Shipping, traffic, logistics background would be an asset
- Ability to work successfully in an autonomous environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and be willing to work as a team member in a “hands-on" production environment
- Capability to work under just-in-time and lean manufacturing theories
- Strong direct supervisory skills and experience
- Great organization skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Leadership potential
