Position Description
RTS is looking for an inside sales representative to engage past and new companies to develop opportunities whereby we can bring value to their operations. Over time, you will be a trusted source of knowledge, who can deliver our message and get people excited about our solutions in the industrial and utility marketplace. You will be an instrumental component in increasing our sales funnel to grow profitability and market share. This position may lead to an outside sales/business development position.
How you will spend your time:
• Engage with customers via phone, email, and online chat to introduce RTS, understand their needs, and provide product information.
• Cold call perspective companies to assess our fit to bring value to them.
• Actively follow up on sales inquiries, leads, and RFQs to convert prospects into customers.
• Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through proactive outbound calling and lead generation activities.
• Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor offerings to effectively position our products and services.
• Utilize CRM software to manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and maintain accurate pre-sales records.
• Provide feedback to the marketing team on customer preferences, market trends, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics, including revenue goals, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction ratings.
The experience you will need
• 1+ years of inside sales experience with industrial automation or the electrical utility
• Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce, etc.) and LinkedIn (Sales Navigator)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
• Experience in prequalification process and sales management
