Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Hand to join our crew. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the concrete industry or steel building erection. As a Lead Hand, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the construction crew.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of project tasks.
- Train and mentor crew members.
- Inspect work progress and provide feedback to ensure quality standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the concrete industry or steel building erection.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Working at heights certified.
Location: Markham, ON (Head Office)
