This is a People & Culture Internship/Co-Op opportunity for the Winter 2025 term, lasting four months. Please note that this is an unpaid position.

This is an excellent opportunity to get in-depth Human Resources applied knowledge in a large healthcare organization. You will gain valuable experience in an administrative support role in one of these areas and will be able to pursue personal learning goals in People and Culture. Placement Description
Your Internship will provide experience in ONE area in the
Department of People and Culture. Areas that currently support Intern opportunities are
:
People Consultants (Employee Relations)
- Administrative and project support in various areas of Employee Relations by assisting in case investigations, conducting environmental scans, updating and drafting letters
Talent Acquisition (Recruitment)
- Support in the Talent Acquisition Department by assisting in the job posting processes, screening applicants, preparing offer packages for new hires, and participating in interview panels when possible
Volunteer Resources: (Volunteer Recruitment and onboarding)
- Onboarding support in the Volunteer Resources Department by screening and reviewing applications and resumes, conducting screening interviews, maintaining records in the Department Human Resources System, assisting with special projects or other duties as assigned
- Mandatory additional learning projects will also be made available by the Intern Program Coordinator
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a post-graduate or post-secondary program focused on Human Resources with a required co-op work term
- Previous office related experience or experience in Human Resources is an asset
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with confidential information is essential
- Effective organizational and administrative skills
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and commitment to learning
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
