- What you will be doing:
- Application technical support for end clients and dealers in Ontario and across Canada as required.
- Organization and execution of product tests at customers during the pre-serial/test phase as well as forwarding this knowledge to Fronius International
- Responsible for supporting the Area Sales Manager and/or the sales process in the design of system installation parameters for routine configuration and installation of Fronius product to clients and potential clients.
- Evaluates the client’s needs for upgrades or up sells of current or new installations.
- Works independently with clients and prospective clients at their locations providing product guidance and support and addressing installation and product usability issues of routine to moderate complexity.
- Attends/facilitates presentations or develops proposals, conducts demonstrations, acting as the technical expert.
- Providing application advice for Fronius team members, end customers, distributors and dealers
- Welding system and software installation and integration at client location.
- Carrying out test welds of client or prospective client prototypes and/or samples and documenting the results on the Fronius intranet.
- Programming, troubleshooting and testing of robot control units
- Conduct training events for team members, distributors, dealers and end clients
- Providing technical support for the introduction of products/systems/processes onto the market
- Forward feedback about market, competition, product to Fronius International
- Participating in trade fairs and providing technical support at regional and national events.
- Other tasks as required
What We Are Looking For
- 3 year diploma in Welding Engineering Technology with 2-4 years of experience
- Good hands-on welder (SMAW, GMAW & GTAW)
- Experience with robotic welding is an asset
- Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently as required.
- Ability to work on multiple projects
- Strong working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Must be willing and authorized to travel throughout Canada, USA and Europe.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
