THE POSITION
The successful candidate will serve as Marketing and Social Media Coordinator, supporting Watchdog’s Digital Media team. The candidate will report to the company GM and to the President. The position is a flexible remote and in-office hybrid model. The candidate must be based in Vancouver or willing to commute to Vancouver at least twice per week and for special events.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Deep knowledge and understanding of all current social media platforms, related scheduling software
- Interest in keeping a keen eye on social media trends and best practices
- Knowledge of and experience using music streaming platforms
- Experience in social media coordination
- Exceptionally organized and able to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Ability to manage a large volume of tasks
- Ability to handle challenging situations, be proactive, trouble shoot and problem-solve
- Knowledge of Photoshop or Canva, CapCut or other video editing software, MS Office and Mac computers is essential
- Ability to work as part of a close-knit team
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including copywriting

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marketing and Social Media Coordinator will work closely supporting the Digital Media team on a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
Social media management for developing artists
- Work with Project Manager and Director of Digital Media on overall plan development
- Supporting the Digital Media team on communicating and scheduling rollouts of tours, single, album and asset releases
- Gathering copy and scheduling posts
- Tracking playlisting ads and posting
- Monitoring fan responses + UCG, reporting back to Digital Media team
- Assist Digital Media team in gathering liners from clients
Content Creation / Content shoots
- Editing short form video, either using CapCut or your preferred program
- Creating graphics for merch drops and online events
- Sourcing and booking venues for content shoots
Scheduling/coordinating of photographers and videographers
- Reviewing portfolios
- Logistics and invoice coordination
Coordinating and assisting in executing social media opportunities
- Finding best time and coordinating AMA’s, IG Takeovers etc
- Ensuring all key info is available to client
Touring
- Scheduling shows in Bandsintown & Seated
- Gathering set times, door times, age restrictions info and updating events
- Spotify presale information populating
- Monitoring tour announces/pre-sale/onsales, making sure links work and have correct information and artwork
- Approving advertiser requests and ad copy from promoters
- Working with promoters on ad plan and contest execution
- Updating admats, asset creation with direction
Social Media Tracking
- Compiling stats
- Social media audience tracking
- Monitoring and reporting scam accounts
- Fan engagement, monitoring and capitalizing on UGC
- Monitoring social media trends and best practices, making suggestions for all clients: reporting to project managers and Digital Media team
- Assisting project managers and clients with mood boards for projects as needed
E-comm integration into all digital platforms
Work with e-comm lead to manage client IG + FB shop tabs, making sure new items and collections are highlighted
Newsletter management for clients
- Gathering copy from clients
- Creating drafts and scheduling newsletters
Managing Artists’ branded playlists on Spotify
Syndicating client TikToks to Reels & YT Shorts, running past Digital Media team for approval
Client website management and upkeep
Company website management and upkeep
Third party partner outreach upon release and tours (for artist support)
