Our client, a global apparel retailer, is seeking a project Film Lead to support their Brand Direct Studio on a contract basis. The Film Lead is responsible for concepting and leading all product campaign video content across paid media, social channels and retail. This lead works closely with the senior Direct Studio creatives to concept product campaigns from the filmmaking perspective, direct internal and external production partners, and provide key inputs to both production and post-production workflows.
This role is primarily based out of our client's North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
The client's Brand Creative team is hands-on and iterative; building creative with the same passion embodied in their product. Art Directors, Graphic Designers, Photographers, Writers, Stylists, Directors, Video Editors, Environmental, and Craftspeople create a wide spectrum of skills to be deployed. The team is comfortable behind the pen, on an exposed ridgeline, and in any global city. The internal Film Team is responsible for a large variety of deliverables which brings their brand and stories to life across multiple channels.
Responsibilities:
- Primary creative lead for video deliverables in the direct studio on business driving commercial product ads, social media content and retail
- Briefing in and directing external and internal production partners through projects
- Collaborating with brand operations team on project timelines and delivery
- Collaborating with internal and external editors on the development of various edits in post and implementing regular feedback from Senior brand creatives Supporting with other projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience as a creative in film/video production with experience in pre production, production and post
- Experience working on branded content, either as a regular freelancer, in-house at a brand or at an agency
- Experience ideating and pitching creative concepts
- Experience with platform specific video best practices across different paid media channels to optimize performance
- Able to implement creative feedback by project partners and senior creatives
- You have a comprehensive understanding of post-production workflows, and tasks throughout the post-production tasks such as edit prep, paper edits, offline edits, colour grading, sound mixing, motion graphics and content delivery
