Position Summary
We are looking for a Sales Intern working with the Category Shopper Development (CSD) corporate team from May to August 2025, based at our head office in North York. This position will be working on various projects and working with our internal category management teams to plan and report on category performance and shopper insights.
A day in the life of a Sales Intern
As a Sales intern, you will be working on a broad range of Sales and Category Management projects for various product categories and brands. You'll be provided many opportunities to work on special projects such as shopper insights, category analysis, and developing / optimizing category management processes and reporting tools. This role will provide an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to gain experience across multiple projects within the category shopper development team – and learn how a tier one CPG organization manages a broad range of categories and brands across Canada.
You will also:
- Assist with analytics, reporting, and various special projects for a CSD team.
- Opportunities to make meaningful contributions to our categories and brands through purposeful projects, initiatives, and reporting.
- Work with cross functional teams on various projects, with exposure to Customer Account teams.
- Gain a solid understanding of the total category management function from planning to operational implementation.
What will make you successful?
As the successful candidate, you will be a self-starter and have excellent interpersonal skills coupled with experience working cross-functionally with sales and marketing. You will have proven problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to gain insights and develop recommendations. You will need to be results focused, detail oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment managing several complex priorities with strict deadlines.
You will also:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (Preference for BA or Business Administration)
- Previous experience in Data Analysis is an asset with demonstrated ability to pull insights.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities, which demonstrate initiative and leadership.
- Self-motivated, results focused, agile, innovative, and intellectually curious.
- Fast learner, and must be comfortable working within a dynamic, challenging environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft OS (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Experience with PowerBI in an asset.
