VT Controls Ltd is a Direct Digital Control (DDC) and Building Automation Systems (BAS) solution provider for more than 15 years located in Hamilton, Ontario. We believe that quality building automation system starts with dependability, user-friendliness, accurate programming and commissioning, that is maintained through quality service and support.
Ideal Candidate will perform the installation and maintenance of automation systems that control such features as lighting, temperature, cooling system and water heating. And, able to do the work himself if needed i.e., possesses working knowledge and experience in working with BAS and DDC.

Responsibilities
- Respond to users experiencing difficulties with computer
- Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
- Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
- Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
- Participate in the redesign of applications and other software
- Provide business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
Education Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in building automation systems (or related courses), engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering is required.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills to be able to interpret customer desires and preferences and serve as an intermediary between customers and construction engineers.
- Technical skills to troubleshoot design or installation problems.
- Ability to work with CAD software to design system schematics.
- Strong knowledge of the construction and HVAC/BAS industry
- Strong knowledge of digital controls design/strategy, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.
- Familiar with microcontroller programming, binary and digital logic, and analog circuits
- Ability to carry a product design from conception into production.
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to work safely with hand and power tools and diagnostic tools such as multimeters.
- Math skills to budget and coordinate projects.
- Strong technical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to coordinate a project from development and stakeholder engagement through implementation and evaluation.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while under pressure.
- Proficient with computers, phones, and other office equipment
- Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities
