Ignite Technical is growing and we are on the hunt for another Recruiter to join our team. This role will put you in the drivers’ seat of a rewarding career in IT Recruitment.
Main duties of the role:
- Networking: leverage Ignite Technical’s suite of tools and technologies to proactively identify top technical talent across Canada
- Recruitment: effectively match your growing network of IT Professionals with the hiring needs of Ignite Technical’s portfolio of clients – from large multinationals to local start-ups
- Relationship Building: develop your own ‘tribe’ of Canadian IT Professionals and build your reputation as a go-to source for industry expertise and employment
Note that experience with technology is not a requirement for this role. We have a 12-week training program before you 'go live' that will equip you with the knowledge and skills you will need to be an effective Junior Recruiter.
Required Experience – Successful candidates should have 1 of the 2 criteria (or both) listed below:
- 2+ years of Sales Experience: A demonstrated ability to empathize with your audience as well as a good understand of the negotiation process will be key in being successful in the role. This includes inside sales or retail sales.
AND/OR
- 2+ years of Recruitment Experience: coming into the role with a demonstrated understanding of the recruitment process and hiring cycle will give you a head start in this role. We have a slight preference for agency experience, but industry experience works great too.

Compensation and Benefits:
- We pay a base salary that increases via promotions, in addition to a generous commission structure (with no top-end), and an annual bonus system . We provide a generous amount of paid-time-off, which also increases via promotion and performance. Your gym membership is paid for and our annual team-trip to somewhere sunny (and all-inclusive) is always a great time!
- We are primarily work-from-home but most of the team comes into the office (a.k.a. the Clubhouse) more frequently to hang out with their teammates in-person. That team dynamic is important to us, so we’re looking for local (Greater Vancouver-based) Candidates only who can meet up with the rest of the team in-person from time to time.
