Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join a pub restaurant in Kitsilano.
Walk in interview on Wednesday 16th of October at 4210 Main st.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food handling and preparation techniques.
- Help maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting, is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team setting.

Pay: $17.40-$25.30 per hour
